Glider for Atmospheric Measurements & Experiments
The GAME experiment is taking part in the REXUS 25/26 project of the REXUS/BEXUS programme and will fly on the REXUS 25 rocket in March 2019 from Kiruna (Sweden) – We’re already excited!
We will be ejecting a glider in near-space conditions to monitor its flight and provide a proof of concept that a glider can enter and hold stable flight on its own. Therefore we are developing a glider, as well as an ejection mechanism and the electronics needed to transmit data during the flight and before the ejection. The REXUS/BEXUS (Rocket and Ballon Experiment for University Students) programme is realised under a bilateral Agency Agreement between the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the Swedish National Space Agency (SNSA). You can read more about that here.
